On our Maxdata Pro 600i Notebook we experienced an extreme problem using Ubuntu Januty (9.04). This problem seems pretty known, basically due to unproper drivers and settings. Workarounds are followed.
- Revert the Xorg drvier for ‘intel’ to intrepid
- Upgrade Kernel to 2.6.30 for improvements in drm and i915 drivers
I will first take the first possibility.
