OOo 3.2.1 and Java Problem on Snow Leopard

Mac OS X Java update on Snow Leopard and OpenOffice.org 3.2.1 doesn’t seem to get along good together. OOo is missing the Java JRE to continue working like it should. The instructions found on this site are describing a work around:

  1. Make sure that OpenOffice.org is closed
  2. Go to ftp://qa-upload.services.openoffice.org/jl162/ and download libjvmfwk.dylib.3 and sunjavaplugin.dylib
  3. again make sure that OpenOffice.org is closed!!!
  4. Go to the Application Folder
  5. Make rightclick (two finger click, or CTRL + Click) on the Programm “OpenOffice.org” and select “Show Package Content” below “Open”
  6. A new Finder window with a folder called “Contents” open, click on “Contents”
  7. Then click on “basis-link”, after on “ure-link” and finaly on “lib”
  8. Now you can move the two downloadet files libjvmfwk.dylib.3 and sunjavaplugin.dylib in to the “lib” folder. Your Mac will ask you, if you realy want to overwrithe, confirm it, and your Job is done.

Thank you very much Raphael for your help.
