Firefox will nicht starten will und sagt «Firefox is already running, but is not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing Firefox process, or restart your system.» Mit «ps auxwww | grep fire» scheint aber nichts gestartet zu sein.
Der Trick ist, dass zwei Lockfiles im Profilverzeichnis von Firefox gelöscht sein möchten:
~/mozilla/firefox/$PROFILE/.parentlock und
~/mozilla/firefox/$PROVILE/lock
